We love Youtube and amateur photography. We find inspiration in the simple-minded photographic work of amateurs. We try to learn as much as possible from these amateurs and to get rid of the conventions relating to a trade.
We love building sites and construction areas. At building sites one can find the greatest installations, paintings and sculptures. We are amazed how the greatest pieces of art one could even think of are created there absolutely accidental.
We love intimacy. The quiet and contemplative way of work. Especially when painting this mode of working is used. The interaction between me and the material. The paint, the brush, the canvas, the manual gesture.
We love to think in all categories of art. Everything can be art! The curry-sausage, the technoparty, the building site, etc. Interesting gestures, aesthetics and ideas exist everywhere.
We love to feed our work with self-irony. As a private person, as an artist, as a worker, as a fool.
We love to reveal the way of working and to record it by photographs and make it to an own piece of art.
We love to deal with items depicted in photos as if they were real. In view of the real life we can indeed put make-up on the face, cut a tree, move a flower box and bandage an injured knee.
We love to act pictures up. A different way to subvert photos is to incite these very images both through comparison of other images and recombination, in order to visualize them time and again as these baffling and seductive objects that join us permanently.
We love to think pictures as interconnected things. We believe that images come from images and appropriation is not a conceptual trick, but an unavoidable circumstance.

Wir lieben Youtube und Amateuerfotografie. Die Unbedarftheit von Laien im Umgang mit Bildern finden wir sehr inspirierend. Wir versuchen möglichst viel von diesen Amateuren zu lernen und handwerkliche Konventionen abzulegen.
Wir lieben Baustellen. Auf Baustellen findet man die wunderbarsten Installationen, Malereien und Skulpturen. Wir staunen darüber, wie dort, völlig unbeabsichtigt und zufällig die wunderbarsten Kunstwerke entstehen, die man kaum erfinden kann.
Wir lieben Intimität. Das stille einsame und kontemplative Arbeiten. Vor allem bei malerischen Arbeiten findet dieser Modus statt. Es geht um die Interaktion zwischen einem selbst und dem Material. Der Farbe, dem Pinsel, der Leinwand, der händischen Geste.
Wir lieben es, alles in künstlerischen Kategorien zu denken. Alles kann Kunst sein! Die Currywurst, die Technoparty, die Baustelle, etc. Überall existieren Gesten, Ästhetiken und Ideen, die interessant sind.
Wir lieben es, uns selbst selbstironisch in die eigene Arbeit einzuspeisen. Als Privatpersonen, als Künstler, als Arbeiter, als Deppen.
Wir lieben es, den Weg zur fertigen Arbeit aufzudecken und fotografisch festzuhalten und so zur eigenen Arbeit zu machen.
Wir lieben es, fotografische Abbilder so zu behandeln, als handele es sich um reale Dinge. In der Realität kann man ein Gesicht schminken, einen Blumenkübel umplatzieren und ein verletztes Knie bandagieren.
Wir lieben es, die Bilder verrückt spielen zu lassen. Es geht darum sie als diese rätselhaften und sehnsuchtsvollen Objekte, die uns ständig begleiten, sichtbar werden zu lassen.
Wir lieben Bilder als vernetzte Dinge zu denken. Wir glauben, dass Bilder von Bildern abstammen und dass Appropriation kein konzeptueller Kniff ist, sondern ein nicht vermeidbarer Umstand.
